Engage unconditionally in work that fills you with a sense of purpose. Volunteer opportunities exist through such paths as community ambassadorship, club leadership and mentoring and Beyond Our Gates Program. Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay residents and team members donated more than 33,000 hours of their time. They participated in numerous activities on and off campus to benefit the citizens of the Virginia Beach area. Some of the volunteer opportunities included:
- American Red Cross Annual Blood Drive
- FoodBank of Southeastern Virginia Food Drive
- Southeastern Virginia Chapter Walk to End Alzheimer’s
- Judeo-Christian Outreach Center – Prepared meals to the hungry and homeless
- Seniors Celebrating Seniors – Our residents made the graduation of 12th grade seniors special by offering college and life experience.
- Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast cookie giveaway
- PingPongforCharity Tournament – Event to help raise money for support services for people with mental health illnesses such as Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia, depression and more
- Summer Camp for Kids – We partner with Brilliant Beginnings Learning Center to assist with their summer camp program
